Small businesses 'will drive the UK economy'
Small firms will play a "huge role" in boosting the country's economy, according to one expert who has claimed that positivity is returning to the country's businesses.
Emyr Williams, director of Bytestart.co.uk, said that one reason for the upturn in people's expectations is the new government, which he claimed is "more pro-business" than the last administration.
His comments follow the publication of a report by Bibby Financial Services, which showed that 72 per cent of small firms feel positive about their current trading conditions, despite business output dropping by 12.4 points during the second quarter of the year.
Mr Williams stated that small firms will play a big role in providing recruitment opportunities in the coming months.
"Small businesses are hugely important in driving the UK economy. As the bloated public sector is shrunk it's vital that small businesses are there to stoke the engine of the economic recovery," he explained.
