Flexibility and appreciation make for productive employers

A lot of companies worry about offering too much flexibility in their working day but this, and making sure employees feel appreciated, can help to bolster morale and productivity, according to an expert.

Louise Davies, communications manager at Kellogg's, said that the key to keeping a workforce happy is to make sure they feel appreciated and offer some flexibility with working hours.

"If you feel appreciated by your employer, then you are going to work harder for them and are more likely to stick with them. We have such long service here, and it's because people love working here," she stated.

Loyalty is the main benefit which companies using sales recruitment can see when improving their workforce's morale, according to Ms Davies, who said some employees have stayed with Kellogg's for more than 30 years.

According to a report by Kellogg's, a fifth of workers are considering taking time off to watch the World Cup or recover from the night before. To help plan your staff leave during the world cup download a free 2010 World Cup wall planner.
