Recruiter survey 'highlights importance of sales recruitment services'

Employers are increasingly struggling to find talented workers despite the high level of unemployment, highlighting the importance of using a sales recruitment service.

Global talent assessment firm SHL claims that 41 per cent of recruiters state that the number of applicants for each available position has risen but fewer than a quarter say it is easy to find suitable candidates.

Highlighting the importance of sales recruitment services, a third claim it is taking them longer to pick out new employees, with two thirds becoming more selective.

David Leigh, chief executive of SHL, asserts that the saturation of the market is making it more difficult for companies.

He states: "Organisations must spend longer clarifying the type of candidate they need and then assess applicants with this in mind - this will give them a much better chance of being successful."

In other news, a new book, FutureStory Newcastle and the North East, recently claimed that a large number of new technical jobs are being created in the north east.
