Sales manager jobs 'requires maintaining' staff morale

Those in sales manager jobs are being urged to keep staff morale high if they want to keep team members with the company, a trade body recommends.

Head of campaigns at the Trades Union Congress (TUC) Nigel Stanley says workers who are not happy with their jobs are likely to leave as soon as they can.

In a survey released by the TUC, nearly a quarter of the workforce said they were not satisfied with their current positions.

As anyone in sales manager jobs who boosts staff morale is more likely to keep their workforce, Mr Stanley claims bosses need to implement measures to correct key issues which upset employees.

He states people should be made to feel they are "progressing".

Mr Stanley says: "Feeling stuck, bored and not having your talents recognised is always a recipe for poor morale."

In research conducted earlier this year by GfK NOP, nearly one in five intend to leave their current position as soon as they can.

Nearly 70 per cent of dissatisfied employees intend to leave their job in the next year.
