Put in the hours, sales managers advised
Sales managers who fail to put in the hours at the office may need to re-evaluate their habits, a new article advises.
According to Online Recruitment magazine, leadership specialist SFL has identified the top five gripes employees highlight about their managers.
Respondents cited managers who do not seem to work in the office frequently as one annoyances, with executives who fail to give their employees credit also the subject of complaints.
A lack of internal communication about company issues, favouritism among workers and the failure to effectively lead also emerged as key gripes.
"Strong leadership is essential for companies to survive in a turbulent market. It's vital leaders set out a clear and compelling vision, are open and honest and motivate their team to pull together in difficult times," said John Fay, founder and chief executive officer of the company.
Research recently commissioned by Business in the Community discovered that 83 per cent of workers prioritise a company's approach to health issues when selecting a job.
