London Olympics Account Manager

Senior Sales Manager, London Olympics, Temporary and Modular Structures, London
£50,000 Basic (negotiable based upon experience), £70,000 OTE + Car + Benefits

This is a fantastic business development and commercial role within a world market leader in specialist temporary buildings. The Olympics in 2012 offers huge commercial opportunities for business and your role will be to spearhead the relationships with the main committees, authorities and sponsors. This is a hugely varied and responsible position that is ideal for a consummate professional with a myriad of commercial skills.

Significant background work has already taken place and relationships are already in place with the major committees responsible for putting the Olympic Games together; you will be responsible for developing and executing the sales strategy from this point. Using exceptional negotiation and networking skills your role will be develop and build upon the senior level relationships within the numerous framework agreements and win major profitable projects.

This is an exciting and entrepreneurial role with a business that is renowned as an expert in their field. Industry experience is not required but to succeed you will have exceptional commercial acumen and have significant experience of winning major public sector or similar business. Ideally you will also have previous experience of working with and selling into major events.

You will be commercially creative and have an innate ability to spot business opportunities. You will be self driven, tenacious and the kind of person that has a reputation for diligently making sure that every avenue of opportunity is maximised. You must have experience of complex bid processes and large tender submissions and be able to deal with the frustrations of protracted sales cycles and multi-level decision making processes.

Of graduate calibre you must be able to demonstrate at interview your proven history of negotiating and winning major contracts. You will be well presented, measured and have a loyal and logical career. You will be professional with natural gravitas and be a persuasive and skilled negotiator that is able to influence a wide range of decision makers. You will be a team player that is able to forge strategic partnerships and possess an instinctive ability to lead suppliers, colleagues and other partners.

You will be meticulous and diligent and able to follow complex processes, procedures, frameworks and guidelines. You will be used to constructing, writing and leading large tender submissions and proposals. From 2011 it is anticipated that you will lead a team of account managers, project managers and contract managers so previous people management experience will be useful.

This is a career role that reports into the European HQ. After the 2012 Olympics your next major focus will be the Commonwealth Games, Glasgow in 2014.
