National Sales Manager, Instrumentation and Controls
National Sales Manager, Instrumentation and Controls, Up to £45,000 Basic + Bonuses + Car + substantial benefits. Global manufacturer of environmental and energy control systems require an ambitious and entrepreneurial sales manager to drive ambitious growth targets over the next 5 years. The role is managing a largely inexperienced internal and external sales teams (10 staff the majority of which have less than 3 years sales experience) and proven experience of mentoring, developing and training sales professionals to reach their sales potential would be a definite plus.
To apply you will have proven technical sales experience selling instrumentation, monitoring or control equipment, or similar, into a wide variety of markets. You will have experience of winning complex and high valued business through complicated processes, such as tender led sales or sales involving multiple level sign off. In addition you will have ideally coached staff into winning complex sales and be able to demonstrate your own proven sales track record throughout your career.
This is a hugely varied and interesting role within a dynamic growing business and is ideal for a highly organised, articulate, confident and professional individual that perhaps has 1 to 2 years of Sales Management experience and is looking for a larger team and a more involved role within a thriving, expanding business. You will be competitive in nature, a proactive sales leader and set high expectation levels for both your team and yourself. Your style will be managing 'from the front' with a healthy balance of both 'carrot and stick'.
Essential skills must include the recruitment, motivating and management of individuals together with setting performance indicators, managing against measures and planning. The company pride themselves on a 'fun' but 'get the job done' environment. Therefore, as a manager you will be a mentor coach type that leads rather than dictates and has an enthusiastic and positive "can do" attitude. You will have some experience of managing telesales or field sales teams and be used to setting and measuring processes to ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
Your people skills are paramount and as such you will be a consistent and fair manager that embraces change and is a highly effective communicator. You will be an above average user of the Microsoft Office software suite and be a conscientious and positive character that loves a challenge.
Whilst the role is UK Wide the ideal candidate will be based in the South East/East Midlands so that they are commutable to the UK HQ.
